 Mansfield Show Regulations 2019


The Society encourages new entrants of all ages to join in the fun and “have a go” at winning a prize on Show Day—but there are a few Rules and Regulations that apply, as follows:
​
1) All exhibits to be entered at owner’s risk;
2) All exhibits must be the bona fide property of, and all produce must be grown or manufactured by the exhibitor Joint exhibits must be jointly owned and entered;
3) Entry fees must be paid on making entries, which must be submitted on the Entry Form supplied by the Society;
4) Entry forms must be received at the show office by 6pm on Thursday 14 November; 2019
5) Entries may be submitted by mail with paperwork/tickets collected when entry dropped off show week
6) All entries must have their ticket firmly attached via safety pin, tape, staple or clip;
7) Judges may award Special Prizes for exhibits which they consider worthy and for which no section is provided;
8) They may also use their discretion as to whether 1st or any prize should be awarded in any Section;
9) In stock classes, no Steward shall wear a Steward’s badge if he/she is exhibiting stock in that Class for which they act as Steward;
10) A Steward who is an exhibitor may remain in attendance whilst the Class in which he/she has entered is judged;
11) Please refer to entry deadlines on page 2, and as outlined under individual Section information;
12) Pavilion entries in all Sections and Classes must be left on display until 4pm Show Day;
13) Prize money will be paid out after 4pm Show Day on presentation of the Society’s voucher at Show Office;
14) Prize money not claimed/collected before 9 December will not be paid;
15) Exhibits not collected by 9 December will be disposed of;
16) All protests or objections in connection with the Show must be made in writing and lodged with a deposit of $10 with the Secretary no later than the Monday after Show Day. Such matters will be dealt with at the next meeting of the Society’s Council. The deposit may be forfeited if the protest is found to be frivolous;
17) Exhibits may be offered for sale, provided the Secretary is notified and the price stated at the time of entry. 10% of the sale proceeds to go to the funds of the society
18) The Society will not, under any circumstance, hold itself liable for any accidents on the grounds or premises;
19) The Society does not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in the Schedule;
20) All entry fees include GST.

ENTRIES:
Entry forms must be received at the Show Office or received by email prior to 6pm on Thursday 14 November.  Show office is located at Mt Battery Road Mansfield in the Main Pavilion.  Entry items to be dropped off as per below to ensure received in time for judging:
· Entry items for Sections Q, R, S, T, U, V to be dropped off by no later than 6pm Thursday 14 November
· Entry items for Sections L, M to be dropped off by no later than 11am Friday 15 November
· Entry items for Sections O, P to be dropped off by no later than 7am Show day 16 November
 
SHOW OFFICE OPENING HOURS:
  • Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 November 2pm to 6pm
  • Wednesday 13 November, Thursday 14 November and Friday 15 November 9am to 6pm
  • Show Day, Saturday 16 November, 2019 - 7am to 5.30pm
  • Post Show collection of entries (a) after 4pm Show day; (b) Sunday 17 November 9am-1pm or (c) Monday 18 November 4pm-6pm
